THE GOOD EARTH

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This page explains how The Good Earth uses information when you browse our chicken shop, sign in, or place an order.

Information we collect

When you place an order, we collect the name, email address, phone number, delivery address, town, requested delivery day, items ordered, and order total that you provide. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google and associate your order with your shop account. The shopping bag is stored in your browser so it can be kept while you browse.

How we use information

We use order and contact information to receive and manage your order, contact you to confirm delivery details, deliver your order, and send an order confirmation email. We use sign-in information to authenticate you and associate orders with your account. We use technical information needed to host and secure the website.

Services that help operate the shop

We use Supabase for sign-in and order storage, Google for Google sign-in, Mailgun to send order-confirmation emails, and Vercel to host the website. These providers process information as needed to provide their services. The site also loads fonts and product images from third-party services when you visit. Some providers may process information outside Kenya; we will use them subject to safeguards required by applicable law.

Storage and retention

Order information and account details are stored using Supabase. We keep information for as long as needed to manage orders, provide customer support, maintain shop records, and meet applicable obligations. The shopping bag is stored in your browser and can be cleared through your browser settings.

Your choices and requests

Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, and other applicable law, you may ask how your information is used, request access to it, object to processing, and request correction of inaccurate information or deletion of false or misleading information. Contact us using the details below. We may need to keep some order information to complete an order or meet legal obligations.
